Faculty and TA Panel: Approaching and Addressing Controversial Topics and Hot Moments (CTL)
This panel will bring together experienced faculty and TAs to discuss how to both
proactively and reactively address controversial and “hot” moments in the classroom.
Strategies for framing discussions, approaching topics from different angles,
balancing group values, and managing confrontations will be discussed.
Part of the Center for Teaching and Learning's TA and Tutoring Excellence Workshop Series.
Workshops take place at the CTL, Library Lower Level.
