The two-time Grammy award winning singer songwriter, Janis Ian, is a life lesson in the power of one person’s voice ability to bring about change. Sharing the foundational values of equality, opportunity, and education for all, Janis Ian and Berea College have partnered to permanently preserve her archives and share her story. We welcome you to join a specially curated tour experience exploring the many intrigues held within the records, from her Grammy awards, record label ownership, original songwriting drafts and many more.
Tours are hosted within the Special Collections and Archives department, located on the ground floor of the Hutchins Library. If travelling from afar or can't make the advertised dates, please contact archivist Peter Morphew to arrange an alternative visiting time.
